This 1952 Chevrolet Model 5700 15,000lb. GVWR (the equivalent of today's 4500) truck started life working for Coca-Cola in the Mid-West with a beverage body out back. At some point it was relegated to life on the farm where it worked with a dumping grain body. 

A few years ago a used car dealer in Berkley, MA rescued it from the scrapper's torch and dragged it home for a meticulous 2 year restoration. The truck retains it's original 250 cubic inch, inline 6 cylinder engine with 4 speed transmission and vacuum operated 2-speed rear axle. 

The only modification made to the truck was an upgrade from a 6 to 12 volt system.

 Aquidneck Machine  contracted to build (to customer spec) the period looking auto transport body for this 1952 Chevrolet. 

The body is 16ft. long overall and has a curved transition deck. 

A 5000# line pull Warn winch is recessed into the deck up front with a cable roller recessed in at the crest of the slope. 

A pair of 7000# Ox-Lite ramps reside hidden underneath with a lever operated lowering device for access and stowage. 

A pair of 48" tool boxes with Stainless Steel doors are built into the deeply skirted sides. The only departure from 1952 technology is the 12 volt recessed lighting. 

The color is current Jaguar, the paint is PPG urethane enamel, the deck is Rhino-Lined, and the results are spectacular.


11 foot Pro-Class Dump Body performs double duty as a leaf blower body
    

 This custom leaf-blower body started life as an 11ft. Pro-Class dump body. Aquidneck Machine built removable high sides from bright aluminum treadplate, than we raised the tailgate hinge point (and tailgate) to the same height as the sides, providing a much larger tailgate opening to allow large loads of mulch, grass clippings, and leaves to be dumped without laying the tailgate down. We created an opening and attachment provisions for the customer's BillyGoat leaf vac, which can stay mounted while a load is dumped. The cover is nylon mesh stretched over bows that are held in place only by the bungees that secure the tarp. The whole leaf rig comes off in minutes when not needed, and an aluminum plate covers the vac hole.

The Aquidneck Machine custom platform is 88" wide as opposed to 96" to make for more "pickup like" dimensions. Features include recessed center bed rails, apitong deck, custom bulkhead with aluminum powder-coated window protector, recessed LED lighting, steel tool boxes with polished Stainless Steel doors, recessed retractable gooseneck hitch, and HD rear receiver hitch with multiple plugs making it capable of towing any type of trailer up to 15,000 lbs.
